Gerald “Jerry” Meyer, president of the Nebraska National Guard Historical Association and Historian at Seward’s Nebraska National Guard Museum,
will present “Countdown to Apollo 11’s 50th Anniversary” on Thursday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. During the one-hour presentation Jerry will share behind the scenes facts surrounding the famous July 20, 1969 moonwalk by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Jerry promises to provide “the rest of the story” from his perspective. His talk is not directed to science geeks but is for families to enjoy. As a bonus he will bring along the Saturn 5 Rocket model from the museum. This program will launch “A Universe of Stories” summer!
