Haroon Al Hayder will be presenting on the topic.

Haroon Al Hayder is originally from Iraq. In 2016, he relocated to the United States, settling in the Fargo-Moorhead area after leaving his homeland. Residing in Fargo-Moorhead for approximately four years, he pursued a degree in Communication Studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead before relocating to Lincoln, Nebraska. The move to Lincoln was motivated by his desire to be near his Yazidi community and serve them better. Presently, he works as a Senior School Community Coordinator at Lincoln High School with Civic Nebraska/Community Learning Centers. With a fervent dedication to community engagement, youth empowerment, and leadership, Haroon devotes his time to developing programs that provide opportunities for Youths and diverse community members to learn, grow, and acquire essential skills to promote belonging and to articulate their voices and represent themselves effectively.
