Joey and his sister Mary Alice who live in Chicago, are sent to their Grandma Dowdel's every summer so their parents can go on vacation. Each chapter is about a different adventure every year. Joey tell about all the funny things their grandma does, like scaring theives with a bottle of milk and a dead mouse. This book is hilarious and I highly recomend reading it.

this book is the best book that i've ever read. i would highly recommend this book to any one . my 7th grade class is read it and i LOVED it.
