This sequal to the book Grasslands (which i haven't read but plan to read) is a great book! It is also a 2006-2007 7-8 young adult golden sower nominee!!! The setting is in the kansas prarie, (i cant remember what year it takes place, so find it out for yourself!!). Tom ends up working at the parsons ranch, along the road. Evie Parsons, a spirited teenage girl who wants to have the same rights as men do, meets up with Tom when he becomes her fathers newest helping hand.......youll just have to read the rest of this great historical fiction book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
