This book is about four high school friends that are about to embark on their first summer apart. Carmen, Tibby, Bridget, and Lena have always been together since their moms met at a mother/baby class and had their kids within 17 days of each other. Carmen is visiting her dad in Carolina, and finds he is getting remarried which infuriates her. Bridget goes to soccer camp in Mexico where she immediately begins crushing on an off-limits counselor. Lena stays with her grandparents in Greece and also has guy-related troubles. And poor Tibby is stuck at home working for Wallman's. She befriends a 12-year old with leukemia who helps make Tibby's Suckumentary. The day before they part, they find a pair of Carmen\'s pants that she has never tried on. Miraculously, they fit all of them. So they make rules for the pants and send them along to each other throughout the summer. This book has many different twists and turns as it tells the story of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
