Classes are free, but space is limited. Sign up for each class individually.You can register for a class in one of three ways:

  • Visit the front desk at the library

Learn about this popular “virtual bulletin board” website. Discover how you can use this site to find and keep track of recipes, craft ideas, quotes, fashion, books to read & more.

Feb. 1, 2016 – Ask the Teacher
Do you have a computer question that wasn’t covered in a previous class? Do you need a few minutes of individual assistance? You must register in advance.

Feb. 2, 2016 – Cricut and Scan-N-Cut
Learn how to use the Cricut and Scan-N-Cut machines to cut or draw designs onto paper or fabric. It’s a great tool for those who scrapbook, craft or quilt!

Feb. 8, 2016 – Microsoft Word 1
Learn the functions of various keys on the computer keyboard and get started with Microsoft Word 2010.

Feb. 9, 2016 – Intro to 3D Printing
Discover what 3D Printing is all about, learn about the library’s 3D Printers and view a demonstration of how to design 3D objects to print.

Feb. 15, 2016 – Microsoft Word 2
Topics covered include using the toolbars and creating, saving and opening documents.

Feb. 16, 2016 – 3D Printed Keychains
Learn how to use Tinkercad to design a keychain that will be printed on the library’s 3D printers and given to you later.

Feb. 22, 2016 – Microsoft Word 3
In addition to continued work exploring the Microsoft Word toolbars you will also learn how to insert photos and clip art.

Feb. 23, 2016 – Beyond Google Search
Move beyond searching with Google and discover some of the many other free Google tools that are available such as email, word processing, maps, calendars, and more!

Feb. 29, 2016 – Transferring VHS to DVD
Learn how to use equipment at the library to record your old home movies from VHS tapes onto DVDs!

March 1, 2016 – iPad Basics (5:30-6:30)
Bring your iPad to class to learn some hints and tips about using it as well as information about some useful apps you may want to download!

March 1, 2016 – Apps for the iPad (6:45-8:00)
Take a look at over 20 cool apps for the iPad that may be new to you. Games, resources, tools and more!

March 14, 2016 – Sell Your Stuff
Learn about the differences between eBay, Etsy, Craigslist and Facebook and how you can use all of them to buy and sell items!

March 15, 2016 – 3D Printed Jewelry
Learn how to use Tinkercad to design a pendant, set of earrings or custom buttons that will be printed on the library’s 3D printers and given to you later.

March 21, 2016 – Spreadsheets 1
Learn the basics of how to use Microsoft Excel 2010 for making a budget and balancing your checkbook.

March 22, 2016 – Facebook
Connect with friends (both old and new) on Facebook. Learn how to create a profile, find friends and more.

March 28, 2016 – Spreadsheets 2
Continue working with spreadsheets as you learn about sorting, freezing panes, creating charts and more.

Go beyond the basics of Facebook and see what else you can do such as live chatting, video messaging, connecting through groups and more.
