About the event
Nebraska Archaeology: 10,000 B.C.E. to Circa 1800 C.E.
Step back in time to explore Nebraska long before the arrival of Euro-Americans. From the Paleo-Indian hunters of 10,000 B.C.E. to the Horse Nomads of the 1800s, this program traces the incredible evolution of the Plains people.
Archaeologist Nolan Johson will dive into ancient lifeways by examining stone and bone tools, prehistoric architecture, and the fascinating environmental clues left behind by Woodland horticulturalists and Plains Villagers alike. Join us on July 30 at 6:30 PM for an exciting dive into the hidden stories of our past!
Humanities Nebraska (HN) provides major funding for this program. HN receives support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Nebraska State Legislature, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, and private donations.
