Summer Reading Fun for All!

Our annual Summer Reading Challenges begin at the end of May and last into July! Rewards for reading is available to all ages of readers.

Join us each start of summer with our Summer Kickoff Party!

Kid Challenge

Infants through 4th grade will fill out a bingo sheet with each book or 25 pages of a chapter book they read.

Directions for the bingo sheet:

  1. Pick up a bingo sheet

  2. Cross off one square for each book read

  3. Turn in completed sheets of 25 squares for a new one

The more sheets entered, the more chances to win!

Teen Challenge

Readers from 5th grade through High School are encouraged to sign up for a punch card. Teen punch cards are stored at the library.

Punch cards reward one punch for one book completed. Tell a librarian when you return your books how many you read to get your card punched.

Completed cards will enter you into drawings.

Adult Challenge

Help us beat York for the Smackdown trophy!

Adults are encouraged to pick up a punch card for this competition. The total number of books read will be posted weekly so you can follow the library’s standing in the challenge.

Adults are responsible for their punch card. Completed cards will be your entry into the drawings.

Candy will be provided for each visit throughout the summer!
