June Mid-Week Movies

The appeal of movies is universal as they offer a break from everyday life and allow us to experience a different world. Stop by the library this month and enjoy a little escapism! We will be showing two motion pictures in June at 1:00 PM in our lower-level conference center. Each month, during the first movie, we will ask patrons to choose between three entertaining movies and choose the next month’s second movie. Come by so that you can cast your vote!
Thursday, June 5 features the 2014 war film, “The Monuments Men.” Set during World War II, this story follows a group of art scholars, historians, architects, and other experts as they try to retrieve stolen masterpieces taken by the Nazis. Knowing that Hitler has decreed that all artwork be destroyed should the Third Reich fall, the group is in a race against time to save the world’s greatest achievements.
Wednesday, June 18 features the 2025 sea adventure thriller, “Last Breath.” A heart-pounding film that follows seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface. Based on a true story, “Last Breath” is an electrifying story about teamwork, resilience, and a race against time to do the impossible.
