The air is getting crisp, the storefronts are beginning to twinkle, and a sense of festive anticipation is settling over our beloved downtown Seward. As we gear up for the most wonderful time of the year, the Seward Memorial Library is thrilled to announce the return of a beloved community tradition that perfectly blends literacy, local charm, and holiday magic: our annual Holiday Walk!
The Holiday Walk transforms our vibrant downtown into an open-air storybook. We've taken an enchanting holiday picture book and carefully placed its pages in the windows of our wonderful participating downtown businesses. As you follow the designated path, you'll literally "read" the story, making each stop a new chapter in your festive adventure.
It's an immersive experience designed to delight children and adults alike, encouraging a love for reading in a truly unique and memorable way.
But the magic doesn't stop at reading! We've added an exciting interactive element to make your walk even more engaging. At each business window where a page of our story is displayed, you'll also find a unique challenge: a close-up holiday-themed image!
You'll receive an official entry form from the Seward Memorial Library, where you can jot down your best guess for each close-up image you encounter. This turns the Holiday Walk into a charming visual mystery, adding an extra layer of fun and observation for our younger participants and a delightful challenge for the whole family.
